Poughkeepsie… The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DCDPW) Highway Division will begin replacing the existing culvert C-20, which carries Hollow Road (County Route 14) over a tributary of the Little Wappinger Creek. The existing eight foot (8’) diameter corrugated metal pipe is structurally deficient and will be replaced using a precast concrete box culvert. Work is anticipated to begin by August 24, 2012 and is expected to be completed by October 30, 2012. During construction Hollow Road will be closed at the vicinity of the culvert and a detour route will be posted.
